Ugh. Still smokey outside today.

I am playing for a wedding on Saturday and am having difficulty narrowing down my choices for 20 minutes of background music. 20 minutes equals 4-6 songs, so it will be most helpful if you only choose 4-6 songs total.

Today is Johannes Brahms's birthday, born 175 years ago. Brahms is my favorite of the Romantic era composers. His music is beautiful, moody, and angsty. I especially love his later piano works. I performed the 3 Intermezzos of Opus 117 on my senior recital in college ( Read more... )
